TikTok Guide

Buying a TikTok account is not really buying followers — it is buying a head start and, if you pick well, an audience that actually watches. The market splits into four rough types: fresh accounts for farming yourself, aged accounts with clean history, accounts with real followers in a niche, and monetized or shop-eligible accounts. Prices track that order, from under a dollar to hundreds for a genuinely monetized account with an audience.

Decide what you need it for first

This is the step most buyers skip. An account that is perfect for running ads can be useless for posting content, and vice versa. Growing a channel wants an aged account with no violations and the right country setting. Running TikTok Shop or ads wants an account whose region matches the market you're selling in — the region is set at the account level and is painful to change later. Resale or flipping wants engagement metrics you can screenshot, not just a follower count.

What to check before you buy

  • Country/region. Check it in the app settings. A US-region account matters for the Creator Fund / Creativity Program and for Shop eligibility; an account registered elsewhere will not magically qualify.
  • Violation history. Ask for (or check) the account status page. Past community-guideline strikes limit reach long after the fact.
  • Engagement quality. Ten thousand followers with 200 average views means bot followers — real accounts convert views to follows at a visible rate. Look at the last 10 videos, not the follower number.
  • Email and phone binding. The account must let you change the bound email to yours. If the seller "can't" change it, they don't fully control the account, and neither will you.

Day-one security routine

The moment delivery lands: change the password, bind your own email, add your phone number, turn on two-step verification, and remove any devices you don't recognize under Settings → Security → Manage devices. Then — and this is the part people rush — don't post, change the username, or switch the region on day one. Aggressive changes in the first 48 hours are the most common trigger for a security lock on a transferred account. Lurk for a day, then ease in.

The "0 views" problem

Freshly bought accounts sometimes get zero views on their first videos. Nine times out of ten this is a soft flag from the transfer (new device + new IP + immediate posting), not a dead account. It usually clears within a few days of normal, human-looking usage. If it doesn't clear in a week, open a ticket — that's what the warranty is for.

Warranty expectations

Expect 24–72 hours covering login failure and accounts that arrive banned or locked. Reach problems ("low views") are almost never covered, because no seller can guarantee the algorithm. What a good seller does guarantee: the email can be changed to yours and the account arrives unbanned. Test both inside the warranty window.

Common scams

  • Reclaimed accounts. The original owner recovers the account through the original email weeks later. Mitigation: complete email + phone change immediately, and prefer sellers with long histories.
  • Follower-count fraud. Screenshots can be faked; ask for a screen recording of the profile and the last videos' view counts, or buy from sellers whose reviews mention the specific account.
  • "Monetized" accounts that aren't. Monetization is tied to region and follower thresholds. Ask exactly which program the account is enrolled in and verify it yourself in the Creator tools menu.

One last pricing note: follower count is the most overpriced metric on the shelf. A 100k account with dead engagement routinely sells for less than a 20k account with a loyal niche audience — and the 20k account will earn more from day one. Buy the audience, not the number.
